Connections for Young Women Expression of Interest

Autism Queensland (AQ) is reaching out to young autistic women aged 15-24 years who live in Jimboomba, Flagstone, or Beaudesert.

We want to hear from you about what’s important when it comes to making friends, feeling connected, and looking after your mental health and wellbeing.

You will meet with a small group, share your stories, and tell us what you think the local area needs to support autistic young women.

Everyone is welcome – this is an inclusive and safe space where you can share your thoughts and experiences freely. The sessions will be guided by two autistic women who combine professional skills with lived experience to make sure the group feels comfortable and supportive.

Everyone who takes part will be paid $50 for their time and expertise.

This project is supported by funding from Brisbane Primary Health Network (PHN).

Must be between 15 and 24 years to be eligible
Who can join? You can join this group if you live in Jimboomba, Flagstone, or Beaudesert. Not sure if your suburb counts? Check here: Search Census data | Australian Bureau of Statistics

This is who we’ll contact to organise your spot in the group once it’s all set up

We are offering three face-to-face sessions and one online session.

Group numbers are capped at 8 people per group, so if there is high demand for the online option, you may be offered a face-to-face session instead.
