Ways to Participate

What is this project about? 

This activity is supported by funding from the Australian Government through Brisbane South Primary Health Network (PHN), to learn more about autistic and neurodivergent people's experiences navigating and accessing healthcare services. 


Will I be paid? 

Project participants will be entered into a draw to win one of three $50 Gift Cards.

CONSENT

AQ, with the support of Brisbane South PHN, is keen to hear about your experiences with healthcare services.


Before we connect with you, we need your consent to participate. 

  • Consent means you are agreeing to participate. 
  • It is completely up to you, and you can change your mind at any time.

All information you share in this survey will be confidential. 

  • This means we will keep it safely.

We will keep your personal information private.  

  • This means we will only share the information you tell us if you say we can or if the law says we have to. 
  • Information you share will not impact any of the services or supports you currently access. 
  • We will not share your contact details outside of the AQ project team and they will only be used to go into the draw to win 1 of 3 $50 Gift Cards.

About the Survey

Who is this survey for?

  • Autistic and neurodivergent individuals, their family members, and caregivers living in, or accessing health services in, the Metro South region. 
  • Metro South includes communities in Brisbane's southside - such as Carindale, Cleveland, Browns Plains, Mount Gravatt, Springwood, Logan, Redlands, Beaudesert and Scenic Rim (postcode ranges between 4000-4288 and 4160-4179)
  • For more information on the areas covered by Metro South, you can check their website: Hospital and health centres | Metro South Health.

This survey aims to find out about:

  • The barriers you face with finding and understanding information about your health.  
  • Your experiences accessing and utilising healthcare services.
  • Your ideas for making healthcare services more accessible and inclusive for autistic and neurodivergent people. 

How long will it take? 

This survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.

    • There are 5 sections. 
    • Some questions are optional, meaning you can choose whether to answer them. 
    • Other questions must be answered before you can move on. These are marked with a red star (like this --> *) 
    • You will find multiple-choice questions where you can select from different answers.
    • And other questions will be open ended where you can type your answer or ask someone to help you type. 

At the bottom of each page of the survey, you will see a link to "Need Help? Click here" where you can get in touch with the project team.
